Parenthesis between two trajectories op.18 (1994)
piano
timing 19'32''
timing 19'32''
A title, that can seem at first, a bit enigmatic. But there is nothing of the sort. This piece for piano was composed between "trajectories for two" and "trajectories for three". Therefore, I saw this piece as a "parenthesis between two trajectories". The material that is used comes from the main theme of the art of the fugue and some bits of "trajectories for two". Along this piece, I also hope to have undergone, to a certain extent, the influences of Bartok and Prokofiev. The pièce is respectfully dedicated to Carmen Brouard and Claude Berset.
