A tribute to Aaron Copland, whose compositions have been accompanying me for many years. As my starting point, I used the opening notes of "Fanfare for the Common Man," composed by Aaron Copland in 1942. I used the same instrumentation as the original piece. I tried to let Copland's spirit "float" throughout the piece.
